MV Agusta F3 Sets For Dealer Debut
On September 30, MV Agusta revealed some news to their European dealers about the F3 motorcycle. The 2011 MV Agusta F3 inline-triple sportbike is likely only the tip of iceberg for MV Agusta.
MV Agusta typically has a range of motorcycles from one engine--one sportbike and one naked, such as the F4s and the Brutales.
The new midrange triple cylinder engines, rumored to be of 675cc capacity, maybe similiar to the Triumph engine used in the Daytona 675 and Street Triple.
We will like likely see a sportbike (the F3) and a naked (Brutale 675 anyone?), but there may be a third or perhaps even fourth model, though I do not know whether this is a type R and S model with better suspension, brakes, or other performance enhancements.
Another possibility is that MV Agusta will go for a third completely new type of model for the company such as a half -faired standard or even a supermoto bike. Either way, these are meant to be affordable entry-level bikes.
The F3 will, according to my sources, produce more than 125 horsepower making it more powerful than Triumph's Daytona 675. My bet is on a 130-horsepower-plus engine. It should weight in at around 350 pounds dry and feature top suspension and brake components.
